Silverwood
The Silverwood Quartet, for flute and strings, toured the U.S. and Japan as well as performing hundreds of concerts on regional chamber series and in schools. Their mission was always to expand the traditional chamber music idiom into something more – encompassing everything from world music to rock and roll. I did a LOT of arrangements for this ensemble in every style imaginable. A lot of these appear on the albums and if you are interested in any, contact me.
Trebuchet Wind Trio
Trebuchet, the faculty woodwind trio from the University of South Alabama until 2021, was comprised of Drs. Andra Bohnet (flutes), Rebecca Mindock (double reeds), and Kip Franklin (clarinets). The ensemble worked to broaden the range of music for wind trio by commissioning new works, arranging existing repertoire, and capitalizing on their comfort with doubling within their instrument families to open up more possibilities and create more variety of tone color.
Liminal
Rooted in the practices of Celtic Traditional and Classical music, Andra Bohnet and percussionist Andy Kruspe, www.andykruspebodhran.com, formed a duo that is neither and both – in and out – betwixt and between – in a word, Liminal. Their eponymous CD, released in 2020 right before COVID, displays their passion for Celtic music while exploring other traditions for flute and percussion. Hear lively reels, spirited jigs, sentimental airs, and music inspired by cultures from across the globe.
